Natural England emphasizes its international importance, aiming to enhance local community access to nature.
Tony Juniper, Chair of Natural England, hailed the reserve’s establishment as a pivotal moment for nature recovery in England. The LCCNNR exemplifies ambitious conservation targets translated into tangible action through broad partnerships. The reserve’s five priority habitats—intertidal mudflats, coastal salt marsh, coastal sand dunes, coastal and floodplain grazing marsh, and saline lagoons—underscore its ecological value. Councillor Philip Jackson noted the reserve’s potential to boost tourism in Cleethorpes, highlighting the region’s rich wildlife and natural beauty. Read More
