An opportunity for adults to have a go at dipping in the lake at Whisby to look for dragonfly nymphs, followed by a walk to find the adults.

If you have always wanted to have a go at pond dipping but thought it was just for kids then this is your chance to have a go. We will spend time dipping in the lake and identifying some of the freshwater creatures we catch then finish the evening with a stroll to watch spectacular dragonflies dancing in the air above and around our lakes.

When: Thursday 9th July 2026, 6pm-8pm

Where: Whisby Education Centre (what3words: ///remotest.bins.unscathed)

Suitable for: Adults, Beginners.

What to bring: Outdoor clothing and closed-toed footwear appropriate to the season. If you have binoculars, feel free to bring them too.

Weather: Where a workshop is dependent on the weather, we may have to make changes or, on rare occasions due to extreme weather, cancel to ensure the safety of all.

Car Parking: Please park and pay in the main Whisby Nature Park car park.

No dogs please.
