Waddington student fashion collection about fertility stigma
Phoebe O’Gorman, a 22-year-old from Waddington, has created a unique clothing collection called ‘My Wild Womxn,’ inspired by her personal experiences with polycystic ovary syndrome and the stigma surrounding womxn’s health. The collection features oversized, sculptural designs using wool and jersey, symbolising protection and celebrating inclusivity. Her work highlights the importance of discussing fertility and hormonal issues openly, breaking down taboos associated with womxn’s pain.
Phoebe’s collection, rich in two-tone hues and versatile textiles, will be showcased at London Graduate Fashion Week, where she has been nominated for a prestigious competition. A former student of St Augustine RC High School and St Mary’s College, Phoebe attributes her success to the creative freedom and support she received during her studies. She aspires to work in Madrid or Paris and eventually launch her own fashion label, continuing to explore themes of inclusivity and empowerment through her designs. Read More
