Waddington post office

Waddington post office could become residential property

Adele Cottam has applied to convert the former shop in The Square, Waddington, into a fully residential property. The three-storey building already had the second and third floors, along with the rear of the ground floor, designated for residential use. The application seeks to convert the front half of the ground floor, previously occupied by the shop, into a residential space, making the entire property suitable for living.

Additionally, the proposal includes plans to preserve the historical character of the property by removing the tarmac path overlay and re-laying the existing river cobbles. The shopfront will also be repaired and repainted, ensuring that the building retains its traditional appearance while being adapted for residential purposes. The change would result in the entire building being ready for residential use, marking a shift in the property’s function from commercial to residential. Read More
