Foodies set to get a taste of Ribble Valley’s finest fare
The Clitheroe Food Festival has launched its Taste Fest, an event designed to highlight the Ribble Valley’s finest local producers and venues. Running throughout the week, the festival offers a variety of food-related activities, including a Lancashire menu showcase by Artisan Ribble Valley and a ‘guess the ingredients’ event by La Laconda in Gisburn. The Taste Fest provides a platform for the community to celebrate and enjoy the exceptional food and drink produced in the region, supported by local businesses and set against the backdrop of the beautiful Ribble Valley countryside.
Throughout the week, a range of interactive and immersive culinary experiences are planned. These include kids’ pizza workshops at The Emporium in Clitheroe, a ‘farm to fork’ feast at The Lovely Cow Shed in Thornley, and a tour and tasting at Pendle Witch Distillery in Waddington. Other highlights include a ‘hedgerow safari’ at Eight at Gazegill and a Lancashire cheese and wine night at the Bowland Food Hall. These events not only offer a chance to sample the best of local produce but also provide unique opportunities to engage with the region’s food culture in a hands-on way. Read More
